Obilježen Međunarodni dan planina – 11. prosinca

I planine imaju svoj (svjetski) dan!

U njima, konačno, živi i 15 posto svjetskog stanovništva!

Ni Hrvatska nema vrh preko 2000 m, no ljepota i nesvakidašnji krajolici privlače brojne posjetitelje, kako planinare tako i turiste. I moto ovogodišnjeg Dana planina to sugerira-održivi turizam u planinama! Hrvatske planine pripadaju mahom Dinarskom gorju, manjim dijelom to je nastavak Alpa, a gorje između Save i Drave je ostatak starog orijentalnog kopna. Spominjemo neke: Dinara 1831 m, Velebit, (Vaganski vrh) 1757 m, Biokovo (Sv.Jure) 1762 m, Lička Plješivica (Ozeblin 1567 m), Risnjak 1528 m, Bjelolasica 1534 m.. Sve one čuvarice su prirode, bioraznolikosti, konačno – (zdravog) života. A mi, mi i svi oni koji će doći iza nas imamo samo jedan zadatak – očuvati ih takvima kakve jesu…
